The gymnast Lance Potgieter and Carene van Zyl from Walvis Bay Private High School was nominated for the Junior Sportsman and Junior Sportswoman respectively.
The announcement of the nominees for the 15th edition of the Namibia Annual Sports Awards (NASA) was made by the Namibia Sports Commission.
NASA is jointly organised by the Namibia Sports Commission (NSC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports, Youth and National Service will be held on 27 October at the Dome in Swakopmund.
The awards carry a total of 14 categories which recognise and reward individual male and female sports, media personalities, national federations and umbrella bodies. Achievements recognised for the 2018 awards will be for the period 1 September 2017 to 1 September 2018.
The theme for NASA 2018 is “All Star Night, Driven by Passion to Win”.
