Magic Mixed Trips 2021

Namib Park Bowling Club (NPBC) recently hosted the Magic Mixed Trips 2021 Bowling competition sponsored by Magic Discounters and Fouche Family at their Bowling field at the Jan Wilken Stadium in Walvis Bay.

This year’s Namib Park Bowling Club Fundraiser had a bit of the change, with all that is happening in the world. With the generous sponsorship we were able to host the Magic Mixed Trips championships.
Format of play being 3 sets of 4 ends with each end and set won added to the final score, plus 2 pts for the win – teams also tried to playing for the 1 bonus points (winning by 10 shots or more / losings by 3 or less.
Teams were limited with who they could play with, as teams could only have 2 Namibian squad members in a team.
The ten team that entered for the competition were Group A, Knockouts, The Pals, Twee Visse en ‘n Bok, Kattewaad and Wiki Waki Woo. Group B, That’s It, Kotze Peake’s, Geanko, Magic and Bits ‘n Pieces,
Kotze Peake’s won the competition by beating Knockout 11-10 in the final. Magic!! ended third after beating Kattewaad 13-7 in the bronze medal game.
One can only be thankful in these hard times for the generous sponsorship from Magic Discounters and Fouche Family.
This weekend NPBC will be traveling to Swakopmund on Saturday 17 April for their away National league game at 13h45 at Rossmund Golf Course against Rossmund Bowling Club (NBC) and on Sunday 18 April NPBC will host RBC at 08h45 in Walvis Bay at Namib Park Bowling Club at the Jan Wilken Stadium.

Magic!! – Graham, Poena, Yvonne 54 points
Bits ‘n Pieces – Dave, Mike, Aidin 53 points
Geanko – George, Annelize, Kobus 52 points
That’s It – Axel, Diana, Michael 48 points
