“Make a Difference” WBPHS Primary School Athletics Day

The primary school of the Walvis Bay Private High School had their interhouse athlethics competition on Saturday where the three school teams Seals, Dolphins and Sharks battled it out on the track and field. Sharks took the day with 1478 points.
“Make a difference”, was the theme for this year. Sharks team members made the difference.
According to Ané Anekom, one of the organisers of the event, the day went off exceptionally well. Teachers and pupils and their parents all co-operated and she expressed gratitude for this.
Walvis Bay Private High School strikes a good balance between academics and sport and strives perpetually to develop the school’s sports capacity and its sports prestige. It therefore encourages learner participation in sports events such as the in house athletics and for parents to support their children on such sports days.
For those who qualified over the weekend there is still hard work ahead, as they now prepare for the Zonals later this year.
