Mayor urges pupils to study hard for year-end exams
With year-end now fast approaching, and the schools which re-opened for the final trimester of 2019, Walvis Bay mayor Alderman Immanuel Wilfried urged all school learners to intensify their focus on their school work. Specifically with the aim of preparing for the year-end examinations. The mayor made this call on Tuesday night during the monthly council meeting.
“As we have kick started this brand new month and the reopening of the schools for the third term, I would like to urge all learners to stay focused and put in that extra effort that will help them make it to the next grade. Education is a collaborative effort between the learner, the teachers and the parents. Therefore, I would also like to call on parents and guardians to render their children the much needed sup-port so that they can perform optimally at school”, Alderman Wilfried said.
