Mighty Blue Waters FC in to advance semi-finals

Coastal premier league soccer team, Blue Waters FC beat Young Brazilians 5-3 on penalties to advance to the semi-finals of the MTC NFA Cup Aweh Cup.

Two goals by Aprocius Petrus and Hendrick Somaeb give the Mighty Blue Waters from Walvis Bay a 2-0 at half time in the quarterfinal against Young Brazilians at the soccer field of Sport Klub Windhoek on Saturday, 25 September.
The Young Brazilians came back in the second half with two goals from Francois Vries for a 2 all draw sending the game for penalties. All five penalty takers form Blue Water converted their spot kick with goalkeeper, Calvin Spiegel advancing to the semi-finals.
In the meantime, Blue Waters defender, Aprocius Petrus and goalkeeper, Calvin Spiegel was called-up to National Team the Brave Warriors.
The other quarterfinal results were
Civics 3 – 0 Khuse FC
Mighty Gunners 2 – 1 Tigers
Citizen 0- 2 Young African
The MTC NFA Cup Aweh semi-finals will be played on 16 Octo-ber in Gobabis with the Mighty Blue Waters take on the Kings of Khomasdal Civics and Mighty Gunners against Young African.
The final and third and fourth place will be played on 23 October in Swakopmund.
Leading telecommunication giants MTC will be sponsoring the NFA N$4.5 million annually for the FA Cup for the next three years.
The winning team of the tournament will walk away with N$500 000 and runners-up will take N$250 000 while the third and fourth place will receive N$150 000 and N$100 000 respectively.
