Minor drowns over the weekend

Monica //Hoebes (14) drowned at Farm Otjua in the Karibib district on Saturday between 17:00 – 18:00.

It is believed the young girl drowned in a swimming pool on the farm while on a Church Brass Band tour. The incident was confirmed by the Erongo Regional Investigating crimes coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Erastus Ikuyu. No foul play is suspected and the next of kin have been informed.
The body of the deceased was transported to the Police Morgue at Walvis Bay for a post mortem. Further investigations continue.
