Walvis Bay Junior Town Council hosted their annual beauty pageant for teenagers to compete for the title of Miss Teen Walvis Bay with the theme this year was “Disco” last week at the town hall in Walvis Bay.

Dominique Bouwer was crowned Miss Teen Walvis Bay and as Miss Debutante. April Hoebes was crowned First Princess and got the title of Miss Personality. Chrystal Clark was crowned Second Princess. Jeryne Arendse was crowned both Miss Photogenic and Miss Fan’s Favourite.
In the pre-teen division, Malinda Bam was crowned Miss Pre-Teen and Britney Botha as her First Princess. Britney Botha was also crowned as the Fan’s Favourite. Emilia ­Silas was crowned Second Princess. Beatha Shimooshili was crowned Miss Debutant and Princess Steven was crowned Miss Personality.
For the first time in the history of Miss Teen, almost all winnings went to one school. Walvis Bay Private High School girls scooped 8 of the 13 titles namely;

Miss Pre-Teen 2019: Malinda Bam
Miss Personality Miss Teen: April Hoëbes
1st Princess Miss Teen: April Hoëbes

Miss Debutant Teen: Dominique Bouwer

The Miss Teen pageant is hosted annually to not only empower local young ladies, but also to raise funds for the JCC’s charity and community projects in the following year.
