Multiple power cable faults caused blackout

ErongoRED confirmed that the power outages experienced on Wednesday night and early on Thursday morning across Walvis Bay including Langstrand were as a result of multiple power cable faults. Some areas were without electricity for only a few hours, whilst some areas were worst hit with a blackout that lasted from Wednesday evening till Thursday morning. At the time of going to press Erongo RED was yet to issue a public statement.
