Murder and rape

This weekend Erongo region was hit with two separate murder incidents and the truth came to light about the rape of an underaged girl in Tutaleni.

Johny Owos-Aob (43), was socialising with a man from Windhoek at a bar in the Spitzkoppe area on Saturday 29 June. The man who cannot be identified yet asked to use the cell phone of Owos-Aob and allegedly disappeared with the phone. After a couple of hours Owos-Aob found the man and attacked him to the point where he was killed. Johny Owos-Aob appeared at the Usakos Magistrates Court yesterday.
In another incident a fight broke out at a bar in Kuisebmond when an unknown man bumped into a friend of Victor Xoagub (18). The 18-year-old Xoagub allegedly confronted the person who bumped into his friend and this person then called two of his friends. The two friends allegedly stabbed Xoagub three times in his chest. Xoagub passed away on arrival at the State hospital in Walvis Bay. The suspects are known but not yet arrested.
It came to light this month that an eight-year-old girl was the victim of rape by two men between May and June this year. One suspect, Ruharui Kazonganga Ebson Tjiverua (36) was arrested and the other is known but still on the run.
