A murder case was opened against Kunoita Shimwooshili (30), when Nakanyala Wilbard (41), died after complaining of a terrible headache after he reported that three men attacked him at a local bar in Kuisebmond and stole his cellphone.

According to the spokesperson for the Namibian Police in the Erongo region, Shimwooshili was arrested in Kuisebmond on Saturday 16 February, only a couple of days since he attacked Wilbard on Tuesday 5 February. Wilbard’s cellphone was re-covered. Shimwooshili will stand trial for murder. A post mortem examination was carried out on Tuesday 12 February and showed no visible marks of assault on Wilbard’s body, but that he died due to head injuries. Shimwooshili appeared in the Walvis Bay Magistrates Court yesterday.
