namib times celebrates its crowning birthday

The twenty four months countdown to the namib times’ 60th anniversary has officially commenced yesterday, with the newspaper’s crowning birthday. Yesterday, 5 December 2016, namib times turned 58, following its foundation in 1958 by the late Paul Vincent.

On 5 December 2018 the newspaper celebrates its 60th birthday with a commemorative edition planned for Wednesday 5 December 2018 as well as other activities to mark six decades as the coast’s only stand-alone community newspaper.
The first edition of the newspaper hit the streets of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay on 5 December 1958.
