Namibia in final

During the weekend of 2-4 May 4 Archers qualified for African Regionals at the annual Namibian Field archery National championships hosted at the Windhoek Field Archery Club at Heja lodge outside of Windhoek.
With extremely good weather archers preformed their best and records were crushed by Jannie Meuwesen current World Field Archery Champion.
Four Archers from Namibia also qualified to represent Namibia at the bi annual African Field Archery Championships in June and July hosted by Zambia. The team will travel to Lusaka on the 26th of June to represent Namibia for the first time in Zambia. African counties shooting in Zambia are Botswana, South Africa, Namibia and host country Zambia. Approximately 81 archers will be competing in this event.

Adult Female Freestyle Unlimited:
1st place: Beanta Viviers 497 for Field round and 496 for Hunter Round and 508 for Animal Round
Adult Female Bowhunter Unlimited:
1st place: Liezl Schoeman 508 for Field Round, 508 for hunter round and 530 for Animal Round
Freestyle Unlimited:
1st place: Jannie Meuwesen 552 for Field, 551 for Hunter Round and 560 for Animal Round
2nd place: Piet Zondagh 518 for Field Round, 527 for Hunter round and 554 for Animal Round
Young Adult (age 17-21) Female Freestyle unlimited:
1st Place: Lindie Schoeman 283 for Field Round, 374 for Hunter round
Junior (13-17 age) Female Bow Hunter Unlimited
1st Place: Nanda Schoeman 403 for Field round and 439 for Hunter Round
Jannie Meuwesen from Luderitz also crashed the current Field and Hunter records set by him last year.
