Namibia won silver

The Namibian Women’s Doubles Beach Volleyball team won silver at the first African Beach Games, held in Sal in the Cape Verde.
Morocco’s doubles team Darrhar and Zeroual downed the Namibia’s Julia Laggner and Kim Seebach 2-0 (21-18, 21-15) in the finals and won the gold medal. Bronze went to Kenya’s Gaudencia Nakhumicha after beating host Cape Verde 2-0 (21-6, 21-11) in the match for the third place.
Namibia qualified for the final after beating Kenya 2-0 (21-16 and 21-17) in the semi-final before beating Angola 2-0 (21-18 and 21-14) in the quarter final.
