Namibian Fistball team off to Switzerland

The Namibian Fistball National team left for Switzerland on Wednesday to represent Namibia at the upcoming Fistball World Championships that starts on 10 August.

In preparation for the World Cup, the team will first participate in the Obersee Masters tournament on Saturday, 3 and Sunday, 4 August in Jona, Switzerland. “Around 80 teams from all over the world will participate at this tournament which takes the form of a training camp.
The team will travel to Winterthur where the World Cup kicks off on 10 August. The Namibians will face Denmark, Netherlands, Japan and Australia in the preliminary round.
The matches can be followed via live stream on www.ifa-fist-ball.tv. “We wish the national team all the best,” said Bank Windhoek’s Public Relations Manager, André Le Roux.
