Namibian Martial Arts Team brings home 17 medals

We are herewith proud to announce the results of the Namibian Martial Arts Team at the World Martial Arts Games 2016 held in Johannesburg recently. It was the first time that a Namibian team took part in this event – and the athletes made our country proud.

The Namibian Martial Arts Team won a total of 17 Medals and secured three World Games Champion titles. Also our Team Coach Shihan Nic Kolbe, who fought under German flag, won Gold in the Veteran Kickboxing Division.
None of the athletes of the Namibian Martial Arts Team came back empty handed and we are proud to have represented Namibia in this prestigious event and compete on a high level with the other countries. Hundreds of participants from the USA, India, England, Iran, Swaziland, Germany, Lesotho, Botswana, South Africa and Mozambique attended the event.
We would like to convey our appreciation and gratitude for the generous sponsorships that enabled us the possibility of entering into and attending the World Martial Arts Games 2016.
