Namport rewards to clients
Namport hosted it’s Annual Port Users Luncheon on Thursday afternoon to show appreciation to their loyal clients, with Dirk Hoffman, Managing Director of Safmarine as guest speaker.
The luncheon, which is hosted yearly, was held earlier this year ahead of the busy time of the year as the company is currently in the process of reviewing their five year strategy and business and financial plans, as well as the upcoming Erongo Business and Tourism Expo. Speaking at the event, Hoffman emphasized the theme of the lunch which is focused on improving Namibia’s competitiveness in the global trade and how this vision can be accomplished.
During the occasion, Namport’s top 10 clients were recognised and rewarding by Bisey /Uirab and Kavin Harry, as well as the top 3 SME clients by Bisey /Uirab and Wilma Saunderson. The top 10 clients are as follows: Maersk Line Namibia, Manica Group Namibia, Sturrock Grindrod Maritime, Trade Ocean Shipping Namibia, Logistics Support Services, Maritima Logistics, Woker Freight Services, Puma Energy Namibia, CMA CGM and PanAvest SCS. The top 3 SME clients are as follows: Camelthorn Freight Forwarding, Cross Border Vehicle Trade and Gateway Logistics Group.
/Uirab expressed his appreciation towards clients as well as the Namport workforce, “we would not have achieved what we have without the dedicated long hours and hard work.
Each of you – be it a ship’s agent, a customs official, a truck driver, and not forgetting our port workers – have a critical role to play in the seaborne trade arm of the Namibia Logistics Hub – you are in face port brand ambassadors. I am constantly amazed at the positive spirit that abounds in the ports and logistics industry, especially in the current depressed business climate, and how well you all promote and brand our ports and our logistics corridors.”
