Novanam and Pescanova Monthly Medal

The Novanam and Pescanova Monthly Medal Competition saw some serious golf played at Rossmund over the past weekend.

In the hot and humid weather conditions 30 players took up the challenge and played serious golf with Michael Tordesillas joining in for a round of golf and to officiate at the prize-giving. As always the golfers were rewarded with some super boxes of fish compliments of Pescanova Fishing.
Overall Medal Winner in the A division was Des Benson with a 70 nett second was Helmut Ndjendja 71nett and in the B division winner was Achmet Abrahams with a 77 nett and Gerhard Byleveld the winner in the C division with a 77nett.
Rina Knight with an 81 nett was the winner in the ladies division.
Namibia Tours & Safaris was the new sponsor on Wednesday 20 February with some nice goodies up for grabs. Unfortunately Danie Steyn could not be with us on the day but we say thanks to him for the support and sponsorship.
Once again a good field of golfers despite the heat – good excuse to enjoy a few glasses of cool stuff after the game. There was some good golf and some not so good. Unfortunately new Rossmunder Barbel von Klitzing had the worst front nine whilst Fanie Terblanche had the best by winning a count out on 19pts over Des Benson. Mario Polster took 1st place in the 18 hole competition with an excellent 41pts followed by Neil MacLeod on 38pts.
