NSC called off sport events

Following President Geingob’s announcement on Saturday to call off all large gatherings in Namibia, the Namibia Sport Council (NSC) decided that all national and international sporting events will be suspended with immediate effect for a period of 30 days in the midst of the Covid-19 virus pandemic.

This announcement was made by the Chief Administrator of the (NSC), Freddy Mwiya. Mwiya added that this doesn’t mean that sportsmen and women should stop training, they can still do so on their own, but they should avoid large gatherings. The following sport is been cancelled or postponed till a later date:
