“Nuts For Dogs” By Land Rover Owners Namibia

Land Rover Owners Namibia, (LRON) Erongo Region recently hosted their “Nuts for Dogs” event at the coast. LRON have built a relationship with the SPCA in Namibia and annually host a fund raising event in aid of the SPCA.

On 29 May LRON Erongo hosted a stand at the Dunes Mall in Walvis Bay. The support received from the general public as well as the LRON members was astounding considering that times are tough.
A total of N$10 000 was collected in cash and a large amount of dog food, cat food, cat litter, blankets, dog beds, water trough and 20 litres of paint was donated for this cause. A big thank you from LRON to all concerned.
LRON Regional representative for the Erongo region Riekie Coertzen and her family were instrumental in making this event the success that it was.
It is heartening to see that there is huge compassion for our furry friends and we believe that all resources will be put to good use for this purpose.
LRON’s next objective is a fundraiser for the SPCA in Henties Bay. Anyone that can support them can contact Irene van Dyk on Cell 081 338 8965.
LRON is an association for Land Rover owners and the objectives are nature and environmental projects and social responsibility amongst a host of other activities. LRON boasts a total membership of 120 families throughout Namibia and is growing daily.
