One million accident-free work hours for Namport

Namport has on 1 June 2021 recorded one million hours of no Lost Time Injury, meaning the number of list-time injuries within a given accounting period relative to the total number of hours worked in the same accounting period.

The last reported injury of Namport at work was on 14 February 2021. This outstanding performance is directly linked to the collective continued commitment to safety and adhering to workplace procedures and policies displayed by the Namport workforce. Improved Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) performance for Namport equally means an improved internal work environment for Port users, as they are affected by improved safety behaviour inside the port. With less injuries, productivity levels are expected to improve for Port users. A message to all port users is that safety is everyone’s responsibility.
