Regional Governor urges local authorities to restore water supply to households cut off due to non-payment of accounts
The Governor of Erongo, Clr Cleophas Mutjavikua, on Friday called upon all local authorities in the Erongo Region to restore water supply to households where water supply was cut off due to payments in arrears. The Governor explained hygiene is key for people to protect themselves against the possibility of a Covid-19 infection. Water in return is key to maintain hygiene.
The Governor made this statement on Friday at the launch of the Welwitschia Hospital and the Ministry of Health and Social Service’s Corona Care Campaign.
“I call upon all local authorities in the Erongo Region to consider reopening water supply”, said the Governor. Adding, he would also approach NamWater to ensure bulk water supplies are maintained and also water quality is maintained”…
