Part of new road open

Motorists must take notice that a part of the newly constructed stretch of B2 road at the entrance of Swakopmund’s has been opened for traffic. There is a four-way intersection where the MR44 (road behind the dunes between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay), the B2 and the Swakopmund eastern by-pass connects. Motorists are urged to adhere to road signs and in particular take extra care at this four way where many motorists have been monitored not to adhere to the stop signs.
Note: the Minister of Works and Transport John Mutorwa pays a visit to the various road building projects at the coast today. The visit includes the Henties Bay – Swakopmund Road Prjoject, the Mr44 as well as the upgrade of the B2 at the entrance to Swakopmund.
