Partnership deal signed at Walvis Bay Salt Refiners

A conglomerate of Black Economic Empowerment entities acquired a 15 % stake in Salt & Chemicals. The partnership deal was signed at the headquarters of Walvis Bay Salt Refiners at the Walvis Bay salt pans yesterday, with the Governor of Erongo, Clr Cleophas Mutjavikua witnessing this key moment.

Salt & Chemicals is the salt mining license holder and is along with Walvis Bay Salt Refiners and Ekango Salt Refiners subsidiaries of WB Salt Holdings. Historically Salt & Chemicals was 100 % South African-owned but the deal signed yesterday now brings 15 % of the company under Namibian ownership.
