Passenger liners cancel scheduled calls to Walvis Bay
One of the key victims in the global Coronavirus outbreak is the cruise liner industry. Dozens of major operators abruptly started to cancel cruises over the weekend, as there were Coronavirus outbreaks aboard passenger liners in recent weeks.
The cancellations include nine passenger liners which were scheduled to call at Walvis Bay in the weeks to come.
Not only are these cancellations detrimental to the local shipping agencies working with the vessels, but also downstream business activities are expected to suffer.
