Pieter Heunis medal stableford

The medal stableford competition sponsored by Pieter Heunis at the Walvis Bay Golf Course was a huge success.

A total of 24 players took part which was a reasonable size field after a well-supported ESS fund raiser the previous day. Wynand Moller played an excellent round of golf and won with 41 points, proving that it is not a ‘higher handicap’ format only.
Christo Muller beat Bertie Coetzee on a count-out with 37 points and Hannes Crafford beat Gunther Heitman on a count-out with 36 points. Tienie de Wet and Darryl Kotting were the winners of the two lucky draw prizes. Hannes Crafford and Jaco Greeff were the only players who had two clubs. Well done to all and a heartfelt thank you to our sponsor, Pieter.
This weekend, a strong team of 36 golfers will be traveling to Tsumeb for the annual match against Tsumeb Golf Club. Good luck and travel safe. There will be a club competition at home for the players not traveling.
