Rally riders in minor accidents

The past weekend welcomed more than 400 bikers to the coast for the 2nd annual Skeleton Coast Rally in Swakopmund, hosted by the Harley Owners Group of Namibia. Fortunately, only two incidents were reported with less than serious injuries sustained.

On Friday morning, a rally participant took a fall on the B2 between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, whilst travelling towards Walvis Bay. The rider sustained injury to his hands, resulting in the loss of part of a finger on his left hand.
Another incident was reported between Arandis and Usakos, when a rider lost control and swerved out to avoid oncoming traffic. Details regarding the incident are unclear, but no serious injuries were recorded.
