Round Table 7 a-side soccer

For the first time the Round Table of Walvis Bay organised and hosted a charity fundraiser in the form of a 7-a-side football tournament for companies.

The tournament was a big success as 16 teams entered and sponsored by different companies in the harbour town. The money that was raised at the tournament will go to the needy kids in Walvis Bay.

The feedback received from the players, company representatives and spectators alike were positive and encouraging and commitments have already been received for next year’s event.

We were most fortunate and grateful to have some sponsors and donors for most of the food items – as this was an integral part of the organising and made this tournament original within its own right.

Another beneficial aspect of the food supplied, was that all unused food items were then distributed to Kids Haven, where the many children whom are accommodated would also get some great meals. This organisation is also an ongoing Round Table Walvis Bay project.

Thanks to Atlantis Sports Club and all the companies we greatly appreciate you and we are also grateful for your sponsorships.

The Round Table Walvis Bay is planning to continuously host this event as a one of their yearly projects.

Anyone that would like to know more about next year’s event, or perhaps be involved with any other Round Table projects in future may make contact with Ricardo Von Stein via email rt36ricardo@gmail.com
