RVS to host annual dressage
Riders and horses from all across the country will participate at the Reiterverein Swakopmund’s (RVS) 62nd annual Dressage and Show Jumping Tournament next week.
The tournament will start with a RVS-parade through the streets of Swakopmund at 11:00 on Thursday (13 December).
The event will consist of various dressage and show jumping stages, which will start on 13 December. The competition comes to a close on Sunday (16 December).
The tournament will be intermitted by skydivers’ spot landings and pony rides to keep the children entertained. There will also be stalls offering the latest fashion in equestrian wear, a jumping castle and games for children. There will also be lots of action in the Joker Top Score, Six Bar High Jump and Jumping Derbys as well as the Musical dressage Freestyles.
The event will be preceded by a Christmas party for children at the stables on 12 December at 18:00. Anyone is welcome to join the tournament and the Christmas party. Parents are requested to bring a small gift for their children and a snack.
The results of the recently concluded FEI Show are as follows:
Final leg competition 3 round 1 and 2
Cat A 1.2 m / 1.3 m
Michelle Künzle on Voigtskirch Sovereign came in first place.
Cat B 1.1 m / 1.2 m
Anette Künzle on Seeis Elton came in first place and Michelle Künzle on Lorcarno Dicaprio came in second place.
Cat C 1 m / 1.1 m
Jade Bassi-Hansen on M&A’s Caskari came in first place and Silvia Kleyenstüber on Rathmor Water Ford came in second place.
The overall winners from leg 1 to 3 are:
Cat A champion is Nadine Flemmings on Seeis Shelton.
Cat B champion is Annette Künzle on Seeis Elton and reserve champion is Michelle Künzle on Lorcarno Dicaprio.
Cat C champion is Jade Bassi-Hansen on M&A’s Caskari and reserve champion is Kordula Voigts on Zonjati Bon Gondalier.
