SA Citizen in fatal car crash

A Nissan Navara D/C motor vehicle and tanker collided on Thursday last week along the B2 road approximately 55km from Karibib at about 22:00. The South African driver identified as Alricko Lawrence Davids (48) died on the scene.

According to Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu, the late Davids was travelling with another passenger Leon April (38) who sustained serious injuries. April was rushed to Okahandja State hospital.
The 34 year-old-driver and only occupant of the truck however did not sustain any injuries. A charge of culpable homicide, reckless and or negligent driving has been opened. The family of the deceased was informed. Further investigations continue.
