Sanette’s N$100 000 treasure!

The organisers of the annual Treasure Hunt, held on the beach close to the National Marine Aquarium in Swakopmund, could not have asked for better weather last Saturday. Many residents, especially learners and parents of the Pro Ed Akademie, took part in the event, which has become a coastal highlight during the festive season. The first prize, consisting of N$100 000 in cash was won by 13 year-old Sanette de Wit. De Wit is a Grade 6 learner. “What is the first thing I will do? I will buy my grandmother a very big present,” she said to namib times. The second prize, consisting of N$5 000 in cash, was won by Fred Bezuidenhout. Chad Langenstrassen won the third prize (N$3 000).
