Seaside Primary School in Walvis Bay had their first ever grade 7 graduation ceremony recently. The school opened its doors in January 2017.

The graduation ceremony is connected to the past and future and the growth of the 144-grade sevens who are accommodated in four classes at the school.
School Principal, Emily Ndemula, said the aim of the graduation ceremony was to appreciate the years these learners spent at Seaside and prepare them for the next stage of their education.
“You are ready and more than able to carry the torch that we bestowed upon you. You have been a light and a pleasure to teach these past three years. We are very proud of you. Always remember to be kind, be a good friend, look out for one another, stay out of trouble, follow your dreams and always believe in yourself.”
Ndemula also admired the school’s 45 teachers for their dedication and hard work. “The love, dedication and commitment you’ve shown our learners in these challenging years are truly commendable. It is a privilege to work with such a strong team.”
She acknowledged the important role parents play. “You are a vital component in the children’s education. You have helped them grow, and we value your support. Without it we would simply not be such a marvelous school.”
