Semi-sub oil rig expected off Walvis Bay on 4 December

The semi-submersible oil rig Deepsea Stavanger is expected to arrive off Walvis Bay on 4 December this year. The rig belongs to Odfjell Drilling and is underway to South Africa for an exploration drilling contract worth N$770 million that has to be honoured by the latest April next year. The drilling contract was awarded by Total E&P South Africa and involves the drilling of one well. The rig returns to Norway after the drilling contract is executed to resume exploration drilling there.
The rig has been off the Liberian coast yesterday and is making steady progress towards Walvis Bay.
