Arandis Town Council notified the residents of the town that the Sewage Treatment Plant was shut down and there is no supply of semi-purified water for the irrigation and beautification of the town. This is the first time it happens.

The Communications Officer for Arandis Town Council Irene Jacobs mentioned to namib times that the plant was shut down in mid-January this year and is expected to be up and running by the beginning of April. “The plant steel structure has a breakage, but a contractor was appointed and is attending to this matter”, Mrs Jacobs said.
The Sewage Treatment Plant normally provides semi-purified water for the beautification of the town.
This shut down has affected all the green areas in and around the town. The Arandis Town Council’s management apologises for the inconvenience caused by this shut down.
