Sixth place at African Games

The Namibian women’s beach volleyball team finished sixth out of 16 countries that participated in the 12th edition African Games (AG) from 16 to 21 August in Rabat, Morocco.

Namibia’s beach volleyball team of Kim Seebach and Kristin Schulz lost 1-2 to Mauritius in the quarterfinals and had to play for 5th or 6th place against a very familiar team of Morocco battling for 5th – 8th place.
Kristin & Kim competed with heart desire and the hard work lost 2-0 against Morocco to record a sixth place finish out of 16 countries. The Namibian team had a 2:0 (21:0, 21:0) walkover against Sierra Leone as they did not show up for the game. On the second day the Namibian team played and won their first game against Rwanda 2:0; and on the third and last day of the group games Namibia beat Sudan 2:0 to end second in their group with 2 wins and one loss.
