Social Business Bowles League at Namib Park
Rudi Bowe
Namib Park Bowling Club was the host of a Social Business League that recently came to a thrilling end.
The final day of the social league it was a strong match up and any team could win. At the end of the day it was Odd Jobs & Repairs that were the better team on the day as they beat Magic Discounters in the Shield final 13-6 with Round Table 36 Walvis Bay narrowly beat EDU Toys 9-6 in the Plate final.
In the group stages of the League, Magic Discounter was the winners by finishing top of their group without losing a game. After the group stages the top four played in the Shield semi-finals and the bottom four in the Plate semi-finals.
In a social game of bowls, one gets to try out a few things and at the same time learn something new along the way, How to play the master class shot or get to know more about the tactical side of the game.
The eight teams that participated in the Social Business league were DDP Agency, Fouche’s, Sun Electric, Round table 36 Walvis Bay, Edu Toys, Magic Discounters and Odd Jobs & Repairs. Hopefully one day Covid-19 will be under control more teams will participate, but in the meantime, bowlers can still get to enjoy the game.
We are thankful for the 8 teams that joined us in the Social Business league:
Well, done to the players and teams that participated in the Social Business League, we hope all of business teams and more come to enjoy in the next social league, the Sentrum social league that will start soon.
