Some 3 000 people in Erongo vaccinated

Close to three thousand people in Erongo Region received their Covid-19 vaccinations to date, according to the latest statistics released by the Ministry of Health and Social Services. That represents approximately 15 % of people vaccinated across the country (some 20 000 people were vaccinated so far across the country in all fourteen Regions).

Wednesday’s Covid-19 update by the Ministry on Wednesday stated 2 529 people in Erongo received the first vaccination and 227 people have already received the second (final) vaccine. According to the report, only the AstraZeneca and Sinopharm vaccines were administered. In this same update, the health Minister Dr. Kalumbi Shangula urged Namibians to get their Covid-19 vaccinations, both for own protection and protection of fellow countrymen.
