The Spitzkoppe community will enjoy their first Spitzkoppe Rock Festival ever this year in conjunction with the annual Rock Spitzkoppe Community Run and Mountain Bike Challenge.

The festival kicks off on 13 September, at the Spitzkoppe Tented Camps and Camp-site, with a movie night, free of charge.
On Saturday, 14 September visitors will be enchanted with great live music by the talented Jacob and Taylor, Sean K, Claudine Nelson, Janelle Botha and Ou Mengo for an inter-active Rock, Jazz and Afrikaans music session at the campsite.
Lesley Tjongarero of Spitzkoppe Events said the Rock Festival is an opportunity to help the Spitzkoppe community.
“About 30% of all proceeds we make during the Rock Festival will go towards the craft market which we are planning to build for the community, especially those seating under the sun while contacting their business. Tjongarero said.
The show will take the audience on a magical musical experience. The venue is located a kilometre away from the Spitzkoppe Mountains and promises a great view, musical entertainment, beer tent, family fun, refreshments and food. Tickets are available at Compu Ticket for N$60 or at the gate for N$80. Doors will open at 4 pm on 14 September.
The running and cycling community, music and nature lovers in general are encouraged not to miss this event.
“Bring along your camping chairs, cool box and picnic blankets. There will be a lot of fun for every-one. Jumping castles for children. This will be a family fun day”. said Tjongarero.
The organisers and sponsors are Erongo Marine Enterprise, Spitzkoppe Events and Water Bay Woods and Joinery. Contact 081-805 3178 or 081-211 6291 for more information.
