Supermicro Golf Day

It was all fun at the fair at the SUPERMICRO and PINNACLE Golf day held last Saturday at the Walvis Bay Golf course. Wynand Moller and his team from SUPERMICRO and PINNACLE, a global leader in high efficiency server and storage infrastructure, is one of the new sponsors that joined the golf club at the harbour town.

For the first time in many a year we had a scramble drive on a Saturday, and it seemed to be the answer as 48 players turned out to enjoy the day.
Winners on a count out were Jaco Greeff and David Peake as they beat Jason Barnard and Michael de Barros with Third place also on a count out went to Potch Alchin and Uwe Bachmann on a solid 50 points in the third place after they beat Andre Burger and Rocco Viljoen.
The final prize went to Koot Potgieter and Nardo Sardinha on 49 points. Closest to the pin on 7 was won by Pieter Fox and Uwe Bachmann took the closest to the pin on 18. On the photo is Wally Norval [PINNACLE] Jason Barnard, Pieter Fox [Club Captain] and Wynand Moller [SUPERMICRO].
Many thanks to Wynand and SUPERMICRO for being present at the prize giving to hand out the prizes. We look forward to having you back next year. Also thanks to Captain Pieter for the effort to make the day the success it was.
