Sven Ahrens Memorial Cup

The NHRSA hosted the Sven Ahrens Memorial Cup at Lake Oanob Resort.

The competition were open to the public as well as for every region that entered a 4-member team to compete for the Sven Ahrens Memorial Cup, this year it was won by Central A Team (Stephanus Francois Marais Jnr, Stephanus Francois Marais Snr, Johannes Jurgens van Zyl, Guillaume Nel).
Friday was started with the .222/.223 class just after 1pm, Saturday continued with the open class and Sunday was finished off with a gong challenge. With the dry river and mountainous terrain, new shooting positions and an ever-present mirage again contributing to the challenging competition.
The competition consisted out of 6 different ranges (2 gong ranges, and 4 life size ranges consisting of a blue wildebeest, hyena, blesbok and Hartbees), with a maximum total score of 900 points (150 points per range).
