Swakopmunders can now enjoy full benefits of Letshego Bank

Letshego Bank Namibia clients living in Swakopmund will now enjoy the full benefits of a fully operational bank, this comes after Letshego Namibia Holdings opened and launched their bank branch in Swakopmund this past Friday.

The Chief Executive Officer of Letshego Bank Namibia Ester Kali said the bank has 16 access branches over Namibia and only three branches that have deposit taking capabilities. “We remain committed and extent benefits to non-governmental organisations. The launch is a way of investing in Namibia’s growth and extending services to customers. The Swakopmund Branch gives opportunities to Swakopmund residents to all in one financial solution.” Letshego Bank Namibia aims to have deposit capabilities to all 16 branches across the country.
Letshego Namibia Holdings opened its doors in 2002 as Edu Loan Namibia, providing consumer and micro-lending services. The company focuses on financially under served low to middle income earners in the economy, through the provision of financially inclusive solutions. Previously, it only offered payroll loans through the deduction at source model.
The Mayor of Swakopmund Pauline Nashilundo said the opening of the branch clearly demonstrates Letshego Bank’s continuing commitment as a partner in the economic and financial development of all corners of Namibia.
Letshego Namibia has four solutions offerings: they recognise that every person needs to pay and be paid to engage with his/her environment, secondly the financially under served need access to credit and financing to help them grow beyond transacting for their basic needs, once a person is empowered to grow, they need options to save securely for their family’s future, and the financial inclusions journey should culminate in an improved life, evidenced by better health, work and insurance benefits.
According to Nashilundo, Letshego Namibia has been working towards improving the lives of their customer, through providing collateral free loans to the government employees and staff of employers registered with them for the past 18 years. She applauded Letshego Bank management and staff for their tireless efforts towards availing world class convenient banking services to the people of Namibia and especially to Swakopmunders.
