A case of reckless and or negligent driving was opened after two brothers were the cause of a head on collision on the B2 route towards Usakos on Thursday. The troubled started when they collected a newly-purchased Isuzu double cab from Swakopmund.

The owner of the new vehicle requested his brother to drive it on his behalf to Windhoek. The owner of the vehicle was following in a second vehicle.
Some 30 kilometers from Swakopmund the new Isuzu swerved from the road, but the driver managed to pull it back on the road.
The owner of the vehicle who was driving behind the Isuzu swerved to the right as part of an emergency maneuver and in the process struck an oncoming vehicle head-on.
