Jan Everson and Fanie Botes started stage five in the place overall but after stage thirteen he also retired with mechanical problems with the Seal Consulting Engineers sponsored front weal dive VW Polo S2000.
Allen said “Dit was my hartseerste omblik toe ek nie kan klaar maak”
“We will be back next year to be the better. The roads up to Wilhelmsdal were in a very good condition and the overall organizing was very good” Allen added.
Allen also motioned that next year there will be a total of six rallies country wide and that Walvis Bay Motor Club will be the host of two rallies at the coast. He further added that son Zachary Martin his son will be back next year in the S1 class.
Jan Everson said that the spirit of the rally was very good and that everyone from the drivers to the spectators and that credit should be given to the organiser who set up the routes which are challenging and gets everything ready.
“It was an amazing Tara Rally, which was one of the toughest rallies in Africa if not the world. Despite all the challenges with the tough routes some drivers managed to finish” Everson added.
