Tax officials arrested for soliciting bribes

Two employees of the Ministry of Finance in Walvis Bay were arrested  in a sting operation by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) this week. The two, Melanie Olga Claasen and Daleen Denise Damens, allegedly bribed a taxpayer and was nabbed as they received their N$20 000 bribe money. The taxpayer decided to notify the authorities that the duo tried to solicit a bribe from him, leading to a trap being set of for the two.
