A 36-year-old man from Kuisebmond was held at gunpoint when he commuted with a taxi on Saturday 29 June.

It is alleged that Jackson Mudhika (41), came from nowhere and pointed his firearm at a paid passenger who was seated in the front seat of the taxi because the passenger refused demands of Mudkika to take the back seat. Mudhika then at gun point demanded the passenger all his belongings and fled from the scene. The suspect fled with ten dollars, a Nokia cellphone and the identity card of the victim. Mudhika was later arrested and all the belongings of the victim were recovered.
