Teen Accused for Attempted Murder

A 35-year- old man was allegedly assaulted on Tuesday and was admitted at Omaruru State Hospital in Omaruru.

Police reports reveal that at about 00:50 on Tuesday this week, Elvis Hansen (19) allegedly stabbed Gideon Immanuel (35) in the neck and upper body in the Hakahana area, Omaruru. Furthermore, Hansen allegedly hit the victim with a brick on the head, causing severe injuries. It is still unclear what prompted the assault. Hansen was arrested and was expected to appear before Omaruru Magistrate court on Wednesday this week. The incident was confirmed by Erongo crime investigation coordinator Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu. The victim is believed to be in a stable condition. Further investigations continue.
