The Eagles host the Cranes

Cricket Namibia (CN) will host Uganda Cricket National team the Cranes at Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek from 3 to 8 April.

With the obligation of Cricket Namibia hosting high-level of cricket in our country, CN is also obligated to represent Namibia in the Castle Lite Series with an ultimate squad of 18 players.
The Eagles will host the Cranes from Uganda in three T20 and two 50 over games with the first T20 on Saturday 3 April at 14:00. The second and third T20 games will by on Monday 5 April at 10:00 and 14:30 respectively.
The 50 over games will be played on Wednesday 7 April and Thurs-day 8 April. Both games will start at 10:00.
Cricket Namibia is also excited to host the first-ever International home series for Over 50’s cricketers over the Easter Weekend in Namibia.
The Castle Lite Over 50’s Easter Festival will be massive exposure and experience for the home team as the Namibian Over 50 Invitational team will face the Zimbabwe Over 50 team.
The Namibian Invitational team has been training for a few months where some players have been playing club cricket in preparation. Francois Erasmus, Namibian Team vice Captain says that they want to enjoy the opportunity to play against a world-class outfit. “Zimbabwe is a Full Member of the ICC and quite a few of the visitors played Test and ODI cricket for Zimbabwe during their playing careers. The series will test the ability and competitiveness of the Namibian boys.”
The Over 50’s will play two T20 and two 45 over games with the first T20 game today 1 April at 14:00 at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek with the two 45 over games been played on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 April at the Trustco United Sports Grounds at 9:30 respectively and the last T20 game will be on Sunday 4 April at 10:00 at the Trustco United Sports Grounds.
