The late Mr Hans Botha
A former resident of Walvis Bay and well-known business entrepreneur, Mr Hans Botha, passed away in Windhoek on Sunday at the age of 78.
The late Mr Botha is locally known as the founder of Rent-a-Plant and was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Africa Personnel Services (APS).
Mr Botha’s son-in-law, Mr Robert de Villiers, confirmed Mr Botha’s pas-sing. De Villiers explained his father-in-law was still actively involved in the day to day activities of APS up to the last work day on 24 December 2020.
“He was the last one to leave the office on 24 December. We could never imagine he was never to return”.
Mr Botha fell ill with the Coronavirus and died of Covid-19 on Sunday.
Mr Botha leaves behind his spouse, Annatjie Botha, daughter Annemarie and son-in-law Mr Robert de Villiers, his son Peet Botha and daughter-in-law Sarah and five grandchildren.
