The moment arrived!
The moment has finally arrived. The new terminal building at the Walvis Bay International Airport will be inaugurated on Friday afternoon by Namibia’s Head of State Dr Hage Geingob.
The upgrade of the Walvis Bay airport to international status and super jumbo standard has not come on a plate. The project took well over a decade to complete and the completion of the terminal building is the last diamond to complete the crown.
Walvis Bay International Airport is Namibia’s second international airport, after Hosea Kutako International Airport at Windhoek. Future projections indicate as many as one million passengers will be handled at the airport annually.
The Walvis Bay International Airport is officially now an all weather, all day international air facility with state of the art amenities and services to ensure passengers comfort, speedy service and safety.
