Three residents commit suicide

The community of Walvis Bay is saddened by the suicide of three residents in a matter of only days.

Mr Christo Steenkamp died on Wednesday night after he swallowed a poisonous substance at his home in 7th road. He was rushed to hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
In another incident, on Monday of this week, 15-year-old Frieda Dhiginina was found by her brother in the toilet of their home. The young girl hanged herself with a scarf. Dhiginina was a Grade 8 learner at Duinesig Primary School. incident, Mr Abraham Uuwanga (47), hanged himself last Friday at his residence in Kuisebmond. Uuwanga was renting a place and his body was discovered by the landlord. Uuwanga hanged himself from the rafters of the garage. Uuwanga had two children living with him. His wife resides in the North.
