Top Score expands 2015 7-a-side tournament to the coast

The leading maize brand of Namib Mills launched the 7-a-side coastal leg of the tournament yesterday evening at the Swakopmund Football Club (SFC). Twenty teams from various businesses have entered.
According to spokesperson Ashante Manetti from the Namib Mills public relations department, the Top Score 7-a-side soccer tournament was officially launched in 2001, since then there has been an increasing demand from soccer lovers and competing teams to add a coastal leg to the tournament.
“Twenty teams from various corporate and other businesses have entered to compete and win this prestigious event.
The tournament kicked off last night at 18:00 at the SFC,” she said.
“The sponsorship for this tournament amounts to N$65 000.
The games are taking place in the evenings with prize money for the winning team consisting of N$10 000 for the winners, N$7 500, for the runner-up, N$ 4 500 for third place, and for fourth place, N$2 500.
The tournament promises to be a fun-filled competitive event, with tough competition for competing teams and some surprise give-aways for loyal supporters.
